Netball smash BUCS Big Wednesday!

On 22nd March 2017, our 1st team headed to the University of Bath to represent Team Surrey in BUCS Big Wednesday for the BUCS Netball Trophy.

Netball were the only Surrey team competing this year where there were a lot universities with many teams meaning there was extra pressure on the team to come back with the silverware. They faced Manchester Met University in this thrilling final.

The breakdown of the game was as follows:

Q1: Surrey 23 - 12 MMU

Q2: Surrey 40 - 26 MMU

Q3: Surrey 56 - 39 MMU

FULL TIME: Surrey 72 - 55 MMU - SURREY WIN!

This Trophy win was the end of a long and very successful season for the 1st team with a 15-0 streak that puts them on top of the table for the 3rd year in a row!

They now look ahead to the 26th April for the start of their campaign to be promoted into the BUCS Premier South division. Make sure you are at Surrey Sports Park for a 7.30pm centre pass for a game you do not want to miss!!
